The Leaning Tower of Torun

krzywawiezaOne of the dozens of towers miejsckich, built at the turn of the thirteenth / fourteenth century. Initially, was deprived of the wall of the town, which facilitated the defenders retraction of ammunition to the higher floors. In the eighteenth century the missing wall and decorated in the tower's detention for women, transformed in the nineteenth century to forge and housing. Deviation from the vertical is about 1.4m is due to shift of the clayey ground tower in the Middle Ages.
